Marel Warda: A Success Story from Syria

War in Syria don’t kill ambition: Marel Warda from the Governorate EL Hasakeh Syria, won the 1st prize in Grade 9, in the Basic Education from Al Nahda Al Arabia Private School. She ranked 1st in Syria, reaching the highest grade of 310/310. In this video she thanks NESSL (National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon) for the scholarship and wishes for more support to new students. Despite the fact that she and her family are affected by the crisis and they are struggling to escape war and its ramifications, Marel focused on her education and earned her rank.

Under the project of “HEKS/EPER Scholarship for Church Schools in Syria”, CPS (Compassion Protestant Society) the diaconal arm of NESSL provided tuitions to support Syrian students and help them continue their education and excel in their achievements.
