Mission

Core Values
Transparency
We conduct our activities with complete and open transparency. We are transparent about our skills, profitability successes, our failures and our expectations. We believe trust is to be granted, not earned, and that a strong foundation of trust is a requirement for true transparency, vulnerability, and authenticity. The information we provide to our stakeholders will be accurate and reflects the needs and achievements of those we represent. When reporting on how funds have been used, we recognize the importance of our accountability and will strive to report with integrity on the progress and measurable impact of our projects.
Partnership
We understand that partnership is central to who we are and what we do in God’s Kingdom. All our actions are to be centered on building deep and sustainable relationships. As we collaborate with our partners, we will make certain that we are conveying accurate and timely information. We pray that humility will shape all our relationships and that modesty and gratitude will characterize our response to people’s needs.
Respect
Understanding the capacity and power of empathy is essential in actively fulfilling the core value of respect. Encounters with all individuals, as well as organizations and circumstances, are based on their unique ideas, beliefs, cultures, personal situations, resources, values, priorities and objectives. We show respect by acceptance, consideration, encouragement and appreciation of all individuals and communities we are working with and for regardless of their race, gender or religious affiliation.
Openness
Openness is the ability to listen well to the contextual realities and needs of our stakeholders. It should be characterized with a tolerant attitude towards all we serve. It is to value and appreciate the goodness and beauty in all human beings who are created in the image of God. We will strive to improve our performance while being prepared to evaluate various suggestions and alternatives that will make us more efficient.
Learning
We are a learning organization. We believe that learning and growth are a lifetime mindset. We look to continually learn, grow, and expand our capacity as individuals and as an organization, so we can thrive and make a significant and meaningful impact in our context. We build the abilities of our staff and volunteers to think critically, understand deeply, and evaluate honestly. We seek learning opportunities, we set learning goals, assess progress, and do what it takes to help people continue their learning.
In addition to the above core values, CPS governing body, leadership and staff are to be committed to embody the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS).
