Arie Van Der Poel visit to CPS offices in Rabieh – Lebanon

Preserving Christian people in Lebanon through the provision of local jobs and expanding community-based economies, while avoiding loss of young talent were the key points Mr. Arie Van Der Poel discussed during his visit to CPS Lebanon Headquarters last June 21^st. Arie,  the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia Regional Coordinator for GZB (a Netherlands based NGO), was impressed by CPS project strategies for youth empowerment; he was happy to hear that the same approach was in the making for Syria as well. As part of the exchange with the CPS team, Executive Director Fadi Riachi shared with Arie a map of CPS field offices in Lebanon and Syria explaining how local pastors and school presidents and principals are acting as our community mobilizers in advance of the technical team’s intervention to expand economies and upgraded learning conditions for both Syrians and Lebanese.
