Summer Agro-Basket for 250 Families

Planting hope…

Project Summary

In the middle of a financial crisis, what could be healthier for people physically, mentally, and emotionally and help them save money on groceries than planting their own food?

250 families from all over Lebanon will receive Summer Agro-Baskets to help them grow their own food. CPS is targeting the Lebanese families that were most affected by the ongoing economic crisis for this project.

Delivery at Minyara

Distribution at Darb Es Sim

Importance of the Project

The Summer Agro-Basket, which contains plants, seeds, and a bag of fertilizer, gives the Lebanese people the opportunity to grown their own garden and save on their food expenses with a sense of dignity, knowing that they are relying on themselves and not on others.

In addition, the benefits of growing their own food include: enjoying better-tasting food, improving the family’s health, relieving stress, reducing worry about food safety, spending time in nature, reducing environmental impact, minimizing overall food waste, and building a sense of pride.
